THE VESTIBULE
Keep holding. Letting go closes it.
You already know the way.

THE VESTIBULE
There's a place you know better than your own house.
You haven't been there in years. You never needed to go: it came with you.
It's a palace. It has hallways you ran up, a bedroom where your hand must never hang off the bed, a closet whose door never quite closed. It has a room for every sound that woke you, every shape in the dark, every night you pretended to be asleep.
You closed the doors. You grew up. You forgot.
The palace didn't.
Frissonia doesn't tell stories. Frissonia reopens rooms. One at a time, at night, in a low voice.
This palace isn't ours. It's yours. We just have the key.
You already know the way.
Before you go in, the palace needs to remember you.
Your answers stay in this browser. The palace sends them nowhere.
Your plan
No one else has this plan. The rooms you haven't reopened yet stay in the fog.
The four wings
CHILDHOODThe HouseThe wing of childhood. The bed, the closet, the hallway, the sounds of the night. You grew up here. You only forgot.Closed for now
GROWN-UP NIGHTSThe Sleeping CityThe wing of grown-up nights. The phone at 3 a.m., the parking garage, the elevator, and no one to tell.Closed for now
THE UNKNOWNThe Edge of the WoodsThe wing of the unknown. Everything that begins where the light ends.Closed for now
INHERITANCEThe Old OnesThe wing of inheritance. What was handed down to you without a word: legends, objects, families.Closed for nowThe latest reopened rooms
The first rooms reopen soon. Come back at night.
The palace will write to you.
At night, a letter slides under your door. Each one reopens a room, and the ending waits on the other side.
